Bourke: Police release CCTV amid investigations of teen’s death following two wild pursuits
CCTV of an allegedly stolen LandCruiser has been released by police, as they investigate how two pursuits of the car ended in a 17-year-old’s tragic death in the state’s west.

Police are appealing for information after an alleged servo break-in and police pursuit in the state’s west last month ended with a teenager’s tragic death.
The incident began about 11.15pm on February 27, when Orana Mid-Western Police District officers responded to reports of a break-in at a service station on Burraway Rd, Narromine.
Officers were told four teenagers fled the scene in an allegedly stolen Toyota FJ LandCruiser Station Wagon.
Shortly after midnight the next morning, the allegedly stolen vehicle was spotted by police on Mitchell Hwy, 15km east of Nyngan.
Police commenced a pursuit of the car, however it was terminated a short time later.
A second pursuit began about 12.45am in Coolabah, with police deploying road spikes in two locations.
The allegedly stolen vehicle continued through Bourke, before crashing and rolling on Weir Rd about 1.30am.
Pursuing officers rendered aid to the four occupants, however, a 17-year-old boy tragically died at the scene.
Three others aged 13, 14, and 16, were treated by paramedics, with the 14-year-old flown to Randwick Hospital in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the other two teens were taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment.
All three teenagers have since been discharged from hospital.
A crime scene was established, and specialist crash investigators have examined the scene, while a critical incident team from Oxley Police District has been assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding the pursuit and crash.
In a bid to assist investigations, police have released CCTV vision of the allegedly stolen vehicle before the crash.
Investigators are urging anyone with dashcam vision or information about the driver of the vehicle at the time of the incident to contact Bourke Police or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
The investigation will also be subject to an independent review.
