A third man charged following an investigation into an alleged stabbing in the state’s west has been granted conditional bail.
Emergency services were called to Seymour St, Bathurst, about 3.30pm on Sunday after reports of a stabbing.
On arrival, Chifley Police District officers located a 28-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his chest.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
His condition has since been reported as being stable.
A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A 13-year-old boy was charged on Monday with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and remains before the courts.
Following inquiries, a 20-year-old man attended Bathurst Police Station about 12.30pm on Monday and was arrested.
James Shaun Stewart was charged with being an accessory after the fact to the wounding of a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, concealing a serious indictable offence, and a breach of bail.
Stewart was refused bail to attend Bathurst Local Court, where he was remanded in custody by magistrate Elizabeth Ellis.
He is set to return to the same court on August 28 via an audiovisual link.
Following further inquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested at Bathurst Police Station, where he was charged with affray and common assault.
He was granted conditional bail to face Bathurst Police Station on July 31.
