Dubbo’s takeaway food and drink scene is expected to soar with a proposed new Domino’s shopfront and a coffee container in an industrial area.
The proposed Domino’s store will be located on 1 Spitfire Drive and is located within the former Royal Australian Air Force base.
According to the developer, the takeaway food and drink premises will be operating from 11am to 1am, seven days a week.
The locality of the site is characterised by tourist and visitor accommodation along Cobra Street with Orana Mall Shopping Centre and the CBD nearby.

The developer said the “modest neutral colour scheme” is “homogeneous” of the Guzmen Gomez restaurant alongside the proposed building.
The developer said the storefront is predicted to “increase economic activity and employment” in the area.
It will “ensure further development in the Cobra Street and Whylandra Street precincts will not interfere with established uses on land zoned for residential uses,” the developer said.
A coffee container is also on exhibition located at 15 Douglas Mawson Road, approximately 3km outside of the CBD.
The developer said the subjected site is located within a “light industry zone” with a nearby residential neighborhood which will also provide “opportunity for local tradespeople and residents to utilise the business”.
The proposed development will include the installation of a refurbished shipping container for primarily coffee sales, an accessibility compliant sealed pathway connecting shop façade to car parking area and the construction of one accessible car parking space in support of the takeaway food and drink premises.
“The proposed coffee container will remain onsite, installed in front of the existing building and setback 10m from the front boundary,” the developer said.
According to the developer the operation hours will be from 6am to 2pm on Monday to Friday and 7am to 12pm on Saturday.
“The proposed development is to be installed onsite and seeks to embellish the site using a modern and attractive coffee container with pleasant temporary and removable outdoor settings that will provide seating while customers await their order,” the developer said.
“The proposed takeaway food and drink premises is considered to have a positive economic impact on the Dubbo community, particularly the surrounding industrial and residential development, through the provision of an additional culinary offering within the area.
The proposed coffee container will be on exhibition until April 4.
