Aiden Wilson refused bail after alleged petrol pour on man, woman in Peak Hill club

A man and a woman have been assessed by paramedics after another man allegedly doused the pair with petrol at a small country club in the state’s central west.

A man who allegedly walked into a country club and poured petrol over two people before being chased down will remain behind bars on remand.

Aiden William Wilson, of Peak Hill, briefly appeared at Dubbo Local Court via audiovisual link from Bathurst Correctional Centre on Tuesday after he allegedly doused a 55-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman in petrol at Peak Hill Ex-Services and Citizens Club between 5.39pm and 5.45pm on Sunday.

Central West Police District officers allege the 28-year-old also covered the Caswell St club carpet in petrol during the bizarre six-minute window.

NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed the couple, but they did not require treatment.

The club was evacuated as a precaution.

Police said Wilson was chased from the club and arrested a short time later on Mingelo St before being taken to Parkes police station.

He was charged with two counts of stalk and intimidation, possession of an explosive with intention to destroy property, lay down explosive with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, destroy and damage property and failure to leave premises when required.

Wilson was not required to enter any pleas during his brief court appearance on Tuesday, and did not apply for bail.

Wilson will reappear in court on December 5.
