Show Your Love fundraiser to help orphaned St Clair siblings Jonny and Bella Gaudiosi

Orphaned siblings Jonny and Bella Gaudiosi have a secure future as family friend Jayla McMillan invites community to Show Your Love.

Sonia Burton (blonde) and Jayla McMillan were friends of the children's mother before she past away and are trying to help their situation. Sonia has opened her house to the children but faces financial strains so Jayla has organised a black tie charity event, in a bid to raise funds and secure a more financially stable future for the children.

St Clair siblings Jonny and Bella Gaudiosi have suffered a horrific past three years, losing both of their parents in that time.

The siblings lost father Mario after a triple-bypass in September 2011 before mother, Julie, died in April after a battle with cancer.

Family friend Jayla McMillan has vowed to look after the children, making a promise to “help set up a future for the children no matter what it took” to their mother before she died.

Mrs McMillan is hosting a fundraiser, Show Your Love, in an attempt to allow Jonny and Bella to continue to stay with another of Julie’s close friends, Sonia Burton.

“At 12 and 14, these kids have suffered enough ... I can’t let them down ... I can’t fail them,” Mrs McMillan said.

Bella said it was important for her and her brother to stay with Mrs Burton.

“It would mean we’ll have a home, be able to stay in the same area and have a life as normal as it can be,” she said.
Mrs Burton said it was a financial struggle to raise and feed the pair along with her four other children. “But for me, it’s worth it to make them happy.”

With nearly 400 tickets to still sell, Mrs McMillan says she would do whatever it takes to avoid calling the event off.

“The funds raised will help secure the children’s future and help Sonia Burton, who is a single parent, that has opened her heart and given the kids a place to call home,” she said.

A total of three NRL clubs have donated merchandise to be auctioned off on the night.

Bulldogs star Reni Maitua will make an appearance at the event.
