Start your dining experience with the bruschetta ($6).
Fresh tomato, red onion, basil and olive oil on a crispy bread slice — the dish is great warm-up to the hearty mains.
Chef Graham Johnson said the Cobham St pub was well-known in the area for its hand-crumbed schnitzels so we decided to order a serve ($18) with mushroom sauce and salad.
The twin fillets ($26) — sirloin steak, grilled chicken with king prawns in a garlic cream sauce — and the veggie delight pizza ($13) were also plated up.
The generous portions for each dish proved that more was more as we devoured each and every crumb.
The vegetarian pizza was the star for me as the capsicum, mushroom, olives, cherry tomatoes and red onion shined on its sweet chilli and tomato base.
Mr Johnson said the thin pizza bases were a new recipe.
If you’re in the mood for a snack while watching the game in the nearby sports bar, choose the wedges ($9).
The crispy potato side dish is incredibly moreish, even more so with sweet chilli sauce.
If you’ve managed to conquer your large main meal and still peckish, try the gelato, the new nutella banana pizza or the sticky date pudding.
