Police are seeking public assistance after a number of firearms including a revolver and two shotguns were seized from a western Sydney home.
Detectives from the Firearms Squad have seized pistols, shotguns, rifles and ammunition from a property in Tregear and are now appealing for public assistance to identify who is linked to the weapons.
About 9am on Friday April 22, Firearms Squad detectives were assisted by the Tactical Operations Unit to execute a search warrant on a property at Tregear.
Police seized five firearms from a car parked on the property, with a further four firearms located underneath on the ground, as well as a number of other items.
The weapons haul includes two semiautomatic pistols, one revolver, two sawn-off shotguns, four rifles, a rifle scope, a silencer, more than 250 rounds of ammunition and a small number of .22 calibre magazines.
All items are undergoing forensic testing to determine if they are linked to any crimes.
Firearms Squad detectives are investigating possible links to the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang and are asking any person with information about the weapons to come forward.
