SUP YOGA MAKES WAVES AT ROSE BAY
Lance O’Connor, owner of Point Piper Kayak Centre (left), is calling for registrations for six-a-side competitions to be played on weekends by the end of the month.
“Stand up paddleboard has gone through the roof, particularly in Rose Bay,” said Lance O’Connor, owner of Point Piper kayak Centre.
“It (SUP) is just a big large growing sport so we just introduced something else.”
The game involves dribbling the ball either with feet or paddles.
“You can kick it, hit it with your paddle, anything that works. If it comes on board you can hold it between your legs, just get it in the goal,” Lance said.
It will involve 15 minute halves, with dribbling the ball either with feet, or paddles, and flicking it into the floating goals.
