TATUM Sinclair-Harris, 15, and Lucas Vallejo, 8, are two karate kids not to be messed with.
The Botany pair, who train at Double Dragon Shotokan Karate Club in Kingsford, are preparing for the National All Style Martial Arts (NAS) Championships later this year.
Tatum, a Year 10 student at Brigidine College, was this week nominated for the Southern Courier's 2013 Junior Sports Star Awards.
The green belt fighter this month placed first in her age category for Kata and Points Sparing in the preliminary round of the NAS championships.
"Karate is something I really enjoy because it helps me with everyday life," Tatum said.
"I've learnt about discipline and focus and my confidence is sky high ... hopefully I can keep winning."
