IT WAS a night to remember.
The brick wall that has become the Roosters' defensive line continued at Allianz Stadium last Friday night.
The Roosters kept the visiting Bulldogs scoreless, 38-0, for the third straight home game.
The Roosters were great to see in action and, when on the field, they showed the Bulldogs how to play.
Leading 8-0 at half-time, you got the feeling the Roosters were showing the Bulldogs a little too much respect.
Perhaps they didn't quite believe in themselves.
But, if the Roosters scored first in the second half, you knew the floodgates would open.
The Roosters did score, and the final 20 minutes was a festival of tries.
The game was built up as Sonny Bill Williams' first match against his old club.
He wasn't sighted for the first seven minutes; perhaps he wanted to ease himself into the match.
The wait was well worth it.
A cut-out pass set up the first try of the match.
The Roosters now get a week off to prepare for their Anzac Day clash against St George-Illawarra.
Both sides are in good form and the Dragons will be confident after three successive victories.
They have had the wood over us and if you were playing two-up against one of their fans, you would more than likely be broke.
