RANDWICK made it three wins in a row at the weekend, defeating last year's runners up Southern Districts 33-25 at Coogee Oval.

Despite the Rebels fielding four current NSW Waratahs players it was the young Randwick side that looked more dangerous.

The Rebels fought hard in the first half, scoring almost all of their points, but a Randwick resurgence saw the home side finish strongly and limit the Rebels to just three second-half points.

Captain Seilala Lam scored two tries and prop Toa Asa took his try tally to four this season.

Tristen Goodbody put the game to bed when he scored from a short range.

Cayden Matehaere kicked four conversions, co-ordinating the game beautifully from fly half; his partnership with young gun centre, David Horwitz continues to grow stronger.

After three consecutive wins, Randwick has moved up to sixth place on the Shute Shield ladder.

On Saturday, The Wicks take on bitter rivals and competition favourites Sydney University at 3pm at Universities No.1 Oval.
