Randwick used their pace to cross the line six times in a hard-fought match against Northern Suburbs on Saturday, winning 39-20 in round seven of the Shute Shield.
Fielding an unchanged lineup from the team that thrashed Penrith seven days earlier, Randwick started strongly, dominating possession and territory.
Despite the early effort, it was Norths who scored the first try, after some slick passing saw the Shoreman break out of their own half, running 80 metres to score under the posts.
However, Randwick quickly regained their composure with the Galloping Greens registering six tries.
Winger Rennie Lautolo was unstoppable out wide bagging a double, while the forward pack continued to work tirelessly with Faitotoa Asa, Richard Aho and Peter Samu all crossing the line for tries.
Young flyhalf Cayden Matehaere kept the scoreboard ticking over, slotting three conversions and a penalty.
Randwick return to Coogee Oval next weekend to take on last year’s runners-up Southern Districts, kick off at 3pm, it promises to be one of the games of the season.
