Little Athletics season to start at ES Marks Oval Moore Park

THERE’S “something for everyone at little A’s” says Con Kotis, president of the Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Centre which kicks off on Friday.
Whether it be sprints, long distance running, shot put or javelin, everyone can find their niche.
“It suits kids who are athletic or maybe even larger size kids who may be stronger … it appeals to kids of all shapes and sizes,” Mr Kotis said.
“It is fairly social as well a lot of parents come to watch and they make friends, we have a decent barbecue after every event, so parents can socialise and feed the kids at the same time.”
Little Athletics also offers with programs that will develop their coordination, athletic skill and confidence.
The club has been providing a competition for about 50 years and also gives more competitive athletes a chance to challenge themselves at zone, regional and state tournaments.
The sport carnivals run from 6pm to 8pm at ES Marks Oval, Moore Park, each Friday until March and is open to children between four and 17.
