RANDWICK Botany Little Athletics Club is full of momentum ahead of the NSW Championships on March 22-24.

The club has enjoyed a near faultless preparation for the state-wide competition after taking out the Zone and Regional shields last month.

Club publicity officer Kristel Ariens said more than 80 athletes would represent the club at the Homebush-based meet.

"It's a big honour for these kids who get a chance to battle against the state's best," Ms Ariens said.

"The athletes work really hard at training to improve themselves but a lot of credit must also go to the coaches who invest a lot of time to get the best out of the kids."

Ms Ariens said more than half of the athletes who represented the club at the Regionals qualified for the state championships.
