GREEN and white jerseys reappeared on Bamford Oval on Saturday as Bondi United players kicked off their 2013 season with a gala day.
After a summer off-season, Bondi United welcomed rugby league and netball players back to the clubhouse with a barbecue, Roosters players and giveaways.
"It was a great way to start and it's full steam ahead from here on in," club president Alan Lewis said.
"There were new players and new faces and the kids eventually took over the field with a huge game of touch football."
Bondi United is one of the most successful Roosters' junior clubs, winning over 100 competitions since 1946.
"We're very much community-minded," Lewis said.
"Parents are as much a part of this club as players and we have men's and women's competitions in netball, basketball, touch football and league."
Lewis said the club had registration places for everyone, from four-year-olds to Masters rugby league.
"We're always looking for new players and never turn anyone away," he said.
