EASTS fell at the final hurdle again on Saturday when they went down 26-11 in their first night game at Warringah.

A strong-finishing Warringah outfit held out Eastern Suburbs to take the win by a 15-point margin.

The Rats, who are in second place on the Shute Shield ladder, were aggressive, particularly at the break-down, with Martin Collins leading the way.

Archie King scored the Beasties’ only try and Warwick Percival kicked two penalties at Pittwater Rugby Park.

The ninth-placed Beasties campaign to make the top six won’t get any easier this weekend as they take on first-placed Manly at Woollahra Oval.

Manly is undefeated in 13 games this season.
