POLICE are appealing for victims and witnesses to come forward after a man was charged with indecently assaulting a woman at Coogee.
The 19-year-old woman was assaulted after leaving a hotel on Dolphin St about 1.30am Sunday.
A police spokesman said the woman was heading to a unit in Arcadia St.
A man approached her on Bream St and started walking with her, engaging her in conversation.
When she reached the unit in Arcadia Street the woman told the man she was going inside.
The man allegedly grabbed hold of the woman’s arms and indecently assaulted her before fleeing.
Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command arrested a 43-year-old man on Brook Street, Coogee, about 4am.
He was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with indecent assault.
The man was given strict bail conditions to appear at Waverley Local Court on May 22.
Police are urging anyone who may have been the victim of a similar incident in the area and has not yet reported it to come forward.
