A new tower, which will encompass everything from retail space and commercial offices to medical facilities, is set to be added to the heart of Sydney.
Sydney-based developer MGAC has filed plans for an $86m George St project, on a site also set to feature educational and other community uses.
The 13-storey proposal is now one step closer, with City of Sydney council planners recommending its approval.
If approved, the building will have retail space on the ground and first floors, with the upper levels occupied by the various other tenants.
While there would only be nine vehicle parking spots at the development, located at 683-689 George St, Haymarket., the plans feature 97 bicycle spaces.
The project would join other mega structures such as 187 Thomas St, Haymarket, which is set to stand at 50 storeys tall and include hotel and residential apartments.
Also just minutes away is The O’Connell Precinct, which will stand a staggering 72 storeys tall at 56 Pitt St.
