A woman who’s body was discovered in shallow water off Brisbane Water Drive at Woy Woy has been identified as Maree Smith, of Gosford.

It comes as police have renewed an appeal for public information, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Ms Smith’s grieving husband and her young son Ryan.

“Ryan is just 6 years old and in kindergarten and paul’s focus at this difficult time is to do whatever he can to help keep Ryan’s life as stable as possible after the loss of his mummy, the centre of his world.”

“Maree was one of those people that reminded you what true friendship really is. She would drop everything to be there for you when you needed her, loyal kind and generous.”

Ms Cristina said Ms Smith would never forget a birthday or important event and would always take the time to understand people and loved them for who they were.

“She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her,” she said.
