Wanted: The NSW men on the run from police

The arrest of Australia’s most wanted man Mostafa Baluch, following a two-week manhunt, captured national media attention. But he was not the only alleged fugitive on the run.

When police arrested alleged drug financier Mostafa Baluch, 33, hiding in a Mercedes inside a shipping container on a truck entering Queensland it was the culmination of one of the largest national manhunts in living memory.

But the alleged drug runner was not the only fugitive on the run with many more wanted by police for skipping bail or having warrants issued for missing court.

Here’s six alleged offenders who police say are still at large and they need the public’s help to catch them.

BENJAMIN POLLARD

Benjamin Pollard, 32, is wanted by virtue of outstanding arrest warrants in relation to fraud offences and breaching his bail.

Pollard is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with brown eyes.

He is known to frequent the Sutherland Shire including Jannali, as well as the Wollongong, Rosebery, Newtown and Marrickville areas.

KOYLE DUNGAY

Koyle Dungay, aged 27, is wanted by virtue of two outstanding warrants in relation to alleged domestic violence and break and enter offences.

Koyle is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, between 180cm and 185 cm tall, of thin build with brown eyes, black hair and a beard and moustache.

He known to frequent Sydney’s Inner West area.

RYAN O’BRIEN

Ryan O’Brien, 38, is wanted on an arrest warrant relating to a domestic violence incident on October 16 at Umina Beach.

Police have received information that he could be in the Western Sydney region and possibly using a Silver Mitsubishi Lancer with the number plate CIL190.

O’Brien is described as being of caucasian appearance, 170 to 180cm tall, thin build, fair complexion, blonde hair, brown eyes and no facial hair. He has a tiger head tattoo on his right chest and a scar in the middle of his forehead.

JOVA JOVIC

Jova Jovic, 33, is wanted by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant in relation to fraud offences.

Jovic is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 180cm to 190cm tall, of solid build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has distinctive tattoos on both hands.

He is known to frequent the Lilyfield area.

As officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command continue to conduct inquiries into his whereabouts, they are urging anyone who may have information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

DAVID WILLMOTT

Newcastle City Police continue to seek information from the community to assist in locating 43-year-old David Willmott, who is currently wanted by police by virtue of two warrants.

He went on the run in September and is known to frequent the Blacksmiths, Waratah and Tighes Hill areas.

NATHAN SCHMALZ

Wollongong Police are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 35-year-old Nathan Schmalz who is wanted by virtue of two outstanding warrants.

He is known to frequent the Wollongong, Corrimal and Warrawong areas.

Schmalz is described as being caucasian in appearance with olive complexion, dark facial hair, medium build, 165cm -170cm tall, brown eyes and a shaved head.
