AFTER weeks of speculation the Express Advocate can finally reveal the luxury penthouse apartment Usain Bolt calls home on the Central Coast.
With uninterrupted views across Brisbane Water, a short stroll to the football stadium and a record price tag to match, we can confirm Bolt is staying in the “Sky House” at Point Frederick’s exclusive Araluen apartments.
Spanning 1089sqm, the sprawling private rooftop residence is undoubtedly one of the region’s premier properties and boasts more outdoor living space than most residential homes.
The property was sold by LJ Hooker Terrigal for a record $1.9 million in August last year, before the eight-time Olympic Gold medallist entered into a lease agreement with the agency through the Mariners and his agent when he moved to the Coast last month.
With four bedrooms plus a separate guest suite, with its own ensuite, kitchenette, dining and living area, the 195cm-tall Jamaican has plenty of room to entertain.
He has also been spotted taking a selfie from one of the many balconies.
From the top-storey vantage point Bolt can look over to Central Coast Stadium where he played his first game on August 31 and where he hopes to secure a full-time playing contract.
The expansive open-plan living zones feature soaring ceilings to maximise light and space, a gas fireplace and custom cabinetry
Bolt has been living a bachelor’s life since his arrival, and there is no news yet whether his girlfriend of five years Kasi Bennett will join the 32-year-old.
But if she does — after he returns from this week’s trip to France to fulfil sponsorship arrangements — Bolt will have plenty of opportunity to impress in the kitchen with its stunning outlook over Coast Bar and Restaurant and with integrated Miele appliances and Caesar stone bench tops.
The grand master retreat boasts a large walk-in robe — big enough to house his collection of Olympic and World Champion medals and with space to spare for his new Mariners kit.
After being spotted buying games at Erina Fair’s JB Hifi recently, the self-proclaimed Call of Duty tragic has had plenty of downtime in between training sessions.
Or he could do some additional training by running between three more generous sized bedrooms with built-in robes, one with an ensuite and private balcony.
To unwind after a heavy session, the Coast’s biggest celebrity can shower in the lavish main bathroom with double vanity, high ceilings and a bathtub with its own feature window.
Or perhaps he would prefer a dip in the private heated outdoor spa.
The gated entry apartment also has a secure three-car garage, basement storage room and private floor lift access.
Bolt is due to return to the Coast on Sunday after a commercial obligation which the Mariners were aware of before they signed him.
While his management was keen to keep details of the event under wraps, his destination suggests it could be related to his role as CEO — chief entertainment officer — for Mumm Champagne.
As a result of the trip he is not expected to take part in the Central Coast Mariners trial match against Central Coast United on Wednesday.
