A Queensland truck driver who was stopped on the Central Coast and allegedly found with 2kg of cocaine hidden under a mattress has faced court.

A Queensland truck driver has faced court after allegedly being found with 2kg of cocaine while driving through the Central Coast.
Trevor Ross Carter’s matter was mentioned briefly at Gosford Local Court on Friday with the 55-year-old facing one charge of supply prohibited drug more than large commercial quantity and one charge of possess prohibited drug.
Mr Carter, of South Ripley in southern Queensland, is in custody and was excused from appearing via video link.
He was charged after police allegedly seized cocaine hidden in a truck cabin on September 30 2021.
NSW Police state that around 9.30pm on September 30, officers from Gosford Traffic and Highway Patrol spoke with the driver of a prime mover after it stopped at a weighbridge while travelling north on the Pacific Highway at Mount White.
Police will allege that Mr Carter returned a positive result to a roadside drug test.
During a search of the truck, police found methamphetamine hidden under the driver’s seat before detecting more than 2kg of cocaine hidden under a mattress,
Charge sheets tendered to the court allege that Mr Carter supplied 2385g of cocaine and possessed one gram of methamphetamine.
Magistrate Jennifer Price adjourned the matter until December 3 with Mr Carter not applying for bail.
