Four people have been charged with allegedly breaking into a Central Coast home, viciously assaulting and robbing the resident and leaving him suffering grievous bodily harm.
Crown prosecutors have finalised two charges each against four people — three men and a woman — over the alleged home invasion of a man at The Entrance.
James Patience, 36, of Claymore, Scott Burrell, 39, of Wyong, David Baron Turner, 46, of Hamlyn Terrace, and Louise Denice Munro, 38, of Wyong, faced Wyong Local Court on Tuesday where the prosecutor tendered certified charges.
The four people are all facing two charges of specially aggravated breaking and entering with intent to commit the serious indictable offences of wounding occasioning grievous bodily harm and larceny.
The charge sheets allege the four broke into the victim’s address on Bent St, The Entrance, about 1.20am on September 22 last year and inflicted corporal punishment on the victim before stealing his property.
None of the four have entered any pleas and were adjourned to face court on September 19.
Mr Patience, Mr Burrell and Ms Munro were remanded in custody and their bail was refused while Mr Turner’s bail was continued.
It comes as Mr Patience, Mr Burrell and Ms Munro also had other, unrelated charges mentioned in court on Tuesday.
Mr Patience is also facing allegations he broke into a unit on The Horsley Drive, Carramar, on December 10 last year and allegedly stole various power tools and $6,000 worth of copper wiring and pipes.
He, along with Mr Burrell, are further charged with allegedly breaking into two separate units at Warner Ave, at Wyong, on September 20 and November 22 last year.
Ms Munro is charged with an unrelated allegation of breaking a window at Cessnock in January this year and failing to leave a licensed premises and assaulting a bar staff member on September 21.
