Police are investigating a ‘Gone in 60 seconds’ type ram raid at a classic car dealership at Somersby where three valuable HSV Commodores were stolen last night.
The M1 Garage posted about the break-in this morning on social media and appealed for anyone with sightings of the three Holden Commodores to report it.
One of the stolen Commodores was a HSV Walkinshaw, one of 400 ever built.
A spokesman for the company said there had been five sightings of the Walkinshaw so far this morning with the latest heading south towards Albury near the Victorian border.
He said police had also obtained CCTV footage of two people buying petrol for a Walkinshaw, matching the stolen car’s description, from a service station at Pheasants Nest, south of Campbelltown.
The car dealership has offered a $20,000 reward.
“The bastards got us last night and took 3 Commodores,” the dealership posted.
“We will pay a $20K reward TO GET THESE GUYS, Low Life Scum.”
