The Marshmallow Co opens in The Chapman Building Wyong

Marshmallow cream, marshmallow fluff and more than 25 decadent flavours of gourmet marshmallows, with flavours from elderflower and raspberry to caramel swirl and coconut and lime.
The Marshmallow Co has opened a shopfront and dessert bar in Wyong, serving their gourmet marshmallows as well as marshmallow-inspired desserts unlike any on the Central Coast.
Owners Breah Mayer and Joel Twyman have been showcasing their soft, fluffy creations at markets across the coast for the past year, and are excited to have a shop in The Chapman Building at Wyong.
Their handmade marshmallow journey started one relaxing afternoon at home when they decided to make their own marshmallow from scratch to have over a fire pit.
“We found a recipe online and added some things to make different flavours,” Ms Mayer said.
“My partner and I took them to our work and everyone was raving about them and saying we should sell them.
“So we looked into it for ages and eventually did a market which went really well. It took about a year to perfect the recipe, you need to work with the right temperature and mixer. We went through a lot of trial and error.”
Little did they know their marshmallow experiment would be such a success and sought after product at markets, as well as weddings.
They now have more than 25 different flavours, with new flavours being launched each season.
The in-store dessert menu is a sweet tooth’s dream, including the decadent brownie with marshmallow cream, Belgian waffles with marshmallow cream, strawberry cheesecake as well as milkshakes topped with the lightest marshmallow fluff.
There’s also the popular s’mores dip to share with friends or family, where double dipping cannot be helped.
