A man will face a hearing at the end of the year after pleading not guilty to 18 drugs, weapons and fireworks offences.
Corey Dobson faced Wyong Local Court on Wednesday where he maintained pleas of not guilty to 15 offences he was charged with after police raided his unit at The Entrance in January and a further three charges laid in March.
The court heard Mr Dobson was awaiting the results of an analyst’s certificate with the type of one of the drugs he was allegedly possession of “in question” the court heard.
Dobson was charged after Tuggerah Lakes police conducted a search at his unit on January 25 where “a large amount of cash, drugs, prescribed restricted substances, explosives (fireworks) and two prohibited firearms were located” court documents allege.
The two firearms were listed in charge sheets at “gel blasters” while he was also charged with possessing a taser.
Police allegedly seized $39,330 cash during the search and charged Mr Dobson with dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Officers also allegedly seized a lock pick, a counterfeit $100 note along with buprenorphine, cannabis, cocaine, methylamphetamine, alprazolam and MDMA.
Mr Dobson was also charged with possessing explosives for an unlawful purpose when officers allegedly seized several boxes of “large, medium and small” fireworks.
Three months later on March 28 Mr Dobson was charged with a further three offences including supplying a commercial quantity of drugs, supplying MDMA and possessing fenethylline.
A police bail determination, tendered in court, alleged Mr Dobson resided at the premises and had access to a garage within the unit block where a lot of the alleged items were located.
“Upon arrest the accused had a medical episode (seizures) and was taken directly to Wyong Hospital,” the police bail determination states.
Mr Dobson’s bail was continued and he was adjourned to December 6 for hearing.
