Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the alleged kidnapping and assault of a man on the Central Coast earlier this year.
About midnight on Saturday, February 12, a 23-year-old man was walking near the intersection of Havenview and Hillcrest streets, Terrigal, when a black utility stopped beside him and four males got out of the vehicle.
The man was allegedly assaulted before he was dragged into the vehicle and threatened with a knife and baton, sustaining a cut to his hand and ear and fractures to his face.
The man was then driven to Crackneck lookout where the males removed some clothing and jewellery before leaving him on the side of the road.
A short time later, the males returned and allegedly further assaulted the victim before he was dropped off near Hillcrest St.
About 3.20am, the man was driven by family members to Gosford Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The incident was reported to police with Brisbane Water Police commencing an investigation.
As inquiries continue, police attached to Strike Force Dernancourt have released CCTV from licensed premises on Terrigal Drive, and would like to speak to a male seen in the vision who may be able to insist with the investigation.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance, with short hair, of solid build.
He is wearing white sneakers with black shorts and a black T-shirt with a motif on the front and back.
The vehicle depicted is described as a black sedan, possibly a Chrysler.
Anyone with information about the male or vehicle seen in the vision, or with additional CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, is urged to contact police.
