A man will face Gosford District Court next month after pleading guilty to supplying more than 1kg of the drug `ice’ over a four-month period.

Timothy Marchment appeared at Wyong Local Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to supplying a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and possessing ammunition.

He also pleaded guilty to a further five offences including allowing his house to be used as a drug premises, supplying a prohibited drug, having goods in custody suspected of being stolen and two counts of possessing drugs.

These offences were placed on a Form 1 certificate and will be taken into account when he is sentenced.

An agreed set of facts states Tuggerah Lakes Police established Strike Force Gooroa in September 2021 to investigate the supply of methylamphetamine in the northern half of the Central Coast.

As a result of “covert evidence gathering techniques” police established the 47-year-old was an “upline supplier” in the area and obtained a warrant to intercept his mobile phone.

“The intercepted calls establish that between September 21, 2021 and January 8, 2022 the offender was selling methamphetamine to various people from his home and at other locations in the vicinity of Blue Bay shops [and] Toowoon Bay shops,” the facts state.

In the intercepted calls Marchment used simple code words such as “hamburger” or “burger” to describe different amounts of drugs and in one call he was recorded admonishing a customer who was late with his payment.

“I’ve got the paperwork for this one,” the customer told Marchment who replied: “Do you understand what was the deal we made cuz, I wasn’t supposed to be waiting for that money for you to sell something to pay me”.

“During the investigation, police conducted physical surveillance and obtained photographs and video footage of some of the offender’s drug supplies,” the facts state.

In total Marchment was charged with supplying 1098.7g of `ice’ between September 2021 and January 2022 including 756.39g of the drug organised over the phone.

In early January officers attached to Strike Force Gooroa conducted several simultaneous raids on properties at The Entrance, Budgewoi and at Marchment’s address on Currawong St, Blue Bay.

Police found a total of 95.86g of meth in the toilet bowl of the ensuite next to his bedroom, in a top drawer next to his bed and in the engine bay of a white Mercedes parked in the driveway.

Officers also found $8700 in $100 and $50 notes they reasonably suspected of being stolen, some 0.22 calibre ammunition and a small amount of cannabis and cocaine.

Marchment was adjourned to face Gosford District Court on March 16 to fix a sentencing date.
