An unlicensed rider allegedly led police on two wild pursuits on the M1 at Somersby and the Great Western Highway at Lawson and then bragged about it.
Luke John Allen, 42, of Waterloo, faced Gosford Local Court on Thursday where he was served with a further 86 charges to go with the 28 counts he was already facing.
The court heard Allen had pleaded guilty to 10 offences stemming from one pursuit on the M1 Motorway at Somersby on October 7.
These included failing to stop during a police pursuit, exceeding the speed by more than 30km/h, recklessly lane filtering at 170km/h, failing to transfer registration after buying a motorcycle, unlicensed riding and using the bike as an offensive weapon to avoid detention.
He had previously pleaded not guilty to the other 18 charges he was already served and on Thursday pleaded not guilty to the 86 fresh allegations.
The fresh charges allege Allen refused to nominate himself as the rider of a Kawasaki motorcycle that was clocked exceeding the speed at various locations including the NorthConnex and Lane Cove tunnels.
The charges allege Allen provided a false name when buying a motorbike and then failed to transfer the ownership, which saw him allegedly avoid various road tolls and speeding fines worth more than $2000.
He is alleged to have also led police on another high-speed chase on the Great Western Highway on October 11 before he was eventually arrested at Mascot on October 14 where he was in possession of 0.3g of meth, to which he pleaded guilty.
Police will allege in court that after his arrest, officers reviewed his mobile phone and found information on the device to suggest “he was boasting” about the pursuits.
Allen’s case was adjourned to face court again on April 24 to fix a hearing date.
