Sexual assault on Terry Oval at Springfield
Brisbane Water Police have released a description of the perpetrator and called for witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted at Springfield on yesterday.

Brisbane Water Police have called for witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted at Springfield on yesterday.
Police said a 26-year-old woman was sitting on Terry Oval on Wells Street, Springfield, while talking on her mobile phone about 12am.
She was approached by a man, described as caucasian with a solid build with a round face, small eyes and light brown/blonde hair. He is believed to be aged in his early 30s and possibly a smoker. He may have facial injuries occurring during the assault.
The man sat next to her and engaged her in conversation before sexually assaulting her.
He was last seen running from the oval towards Emma James Street and Headlam Parade.
The woman contacted Gosford Police Station where she reported the incident.
An investigation is now underway and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man matching this description loitering on Terry Oval to contact Detectives at Gosford Police Station.
