Patonga Beach Hotel sold to power couple Andrew and Pip Goldsmith

NORTHERN Beaches power couple Andrew and Pip Goldsmith have been confirmed as the mystery buyers of the Patonga Beach Hotel.

NORTHERN Beaches power couple Andrew and Pip Goldsmith have been confirmed as the mystery buyers of the Patonga Beach Hotel.

News that the popular pub had been snatched up emerged on Friday. It is believed the sale was in excess of $10 million.

The Goldsmiths are the creative and business brains behind the Boat House Group which operates several venues at Palm Beach, Shelly Beach and Balmoral, as well as Moby Dicks Whale Beach.

Mrs Goldsmith is a successful interior designer whose father, Andrew Robb, was previously the Tourism Minister.

There were no immediate plans to make physical changes to the venue, the hotel’s licensee Stuart Beazley said.

The sale was navigated by Manenti Quinlan and Associates with Ray White Hotels as co-agents.

The hotel was previously sold in 2014 for $8 million.

Calls to Mr Goldsmith were not returned before the Express Advocate’s deadline.
