Mitchell Thomas, 27, faces charges of accessing and transmitting child abuse material
A 27-year-old Umina Beach man is facing 11 charges after allegedly accessing and transmitting child abuse material in 2021.

A Umina Beach man has been charged with allegedly accessing and sharing child abuse material.
Mitchell Thomas, 27, appeared before Gosford Local Court on Thursday with the court hearing that police had laid nine fresh charges in the matter.
He is now facing eleven charges including six counts of using a carriage service to transmit/make available/publish/distribute/advertise and promote child abuse.
Mr Thomas is also facing four charges of using a carriage service to access child abuse material and one charge of possess/control child abuse material using a carriage service.
One charge of possess child abuse material and one charge of disseminate child abuse material were withdrawn.
Mr Thomas sat quietly in court, with two support people by his side, as Magistrate Jennifer Price heard that the matter was now before the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions.
Charge sheets tendered to the court state that the alleged offences occurred on various dates between August 5 and November 5 in 2021 at Umina Beach.
Charge sheets allege Mr Thomas used a carriage service to transmit or access child abuse material on those dates.
Mr Thomas was arrested and charged on November 5 2021 at 9.40am.
His matter was adjourned to July 12 for committal.
