Detectives have charged a man, 23, with six offences after he allegedly stabbed a woman, also 23, at Green Point and allegedly stole her car to get away.

A man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend at Green Point and allegedly stole her car to get away.
About 5.20am this morning, Tuesday May 5, emergency services were called to a home on Melissa St at Green Point after reports a woman had been injured.
Brisbane Water police attended and found a 23-year-old woman with a stab wound to the lower right of her neck.
She was treated by paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and following inquiries, a 23-year-old man was arrested at Ocean Beach Rd at Woy Woy about 8.15am.
He was taken to Woy Woy Police Station, where he was charged with six offences including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, contravene an apprehended violence order, stealing a car and driving while never having held a licence.
He was also charged with two counts of assaulting an officer in the execution of their duty after he allegedly punched two police in the custody room.
He faced Newcastle Local Court today via video link.
