A man in his 60s has suffered head trauma after falling from scaffolding at Macmasters Beach.

A man has been flown to hospital with head trauma after falling from scaffolding at Macmasters Beach.
Emergency services were called to a home just after 10.30am on Beachview Esplanade after a report a man had fallen around 3m from scaffolding onto concrete.
A NSW Ambulance paramedic road crew, special operations team paramedic, extended care paramedic and the CareFlight Ambulance Rescue Helicopter were called to the scene.
The man was in a difficult position to reach with crews helped by NSW Fire and Rescue.
The helicopter was able to land at the property with a critical care doctor and a critical care paramedic on board.
They treated a man aged in his 60s for head and hip injuries and he was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
“The patient was displaying clear symptoms of head trauma, and was in a difficult position to reach,” NSW Ambulance Inspector Grahame Rathbone said.
“Paramedics and the medical team stabilised the patient and extricated the patient with the help of worked with Fire and Rescue NSW, before transporting him to the helicopter landing site.
“I’d urge people working at heights to take every possible precaution.”
