Former Bandidos Central Coast boss charged after seizure of drugs, knuckle dusters at Rutherford

A former senior member of the Central Coast chapter of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged after Strike Force Raptor seized knuckle dusters and illicit drugs from a home in the Hunter region.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Maitland Police Station.

A former senior member of the Central Coast chapter of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged after Strike Force Raptor seized knuckle dusters and illicit drugs from a home in the Hunter region.

As part of ongoing investigations into the acquisition and use of prohibited weapons and the supply of methylamphetamine, police from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor North conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order search at a home at Rutherford just before 9am on Thursday, May 2.

During the search, officers seized two sets of knuckle dusters, 2g of methylamphetamine, 1.5g of MDMA and a large quantity of prescription medication.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Maitland Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of possess or use prohibited weapon without permit, three counts of possessing a prohibited drug, possession of a prescribed restricted substance, and use a prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

The man, who is a former senior member of the Central Coast chapter of the Bandidos, was refused bail to appear at Maitland Local Court on Friday.

Investigations into the supply, acquisition, and use of prohibited weapons are ongoing.
