A hearing date has been set down for the doctor charged with sexually touching a patient at a West Gosford medical centre.
Fady Malak, 38, was excused from his mention at Gosford Local Court on Thursday where the court confirmed his pleas of not guilty to two counts of aggravated sexually touching a person without consent.
The court heard 2-3 witnesses would be called during the hearing, which was scheduled for September 10.
However Dr Malak’s lawyer indicated that the matter may be settled before September.
Dr Malak, of Erina, was charged in January following a three-month investigation into allegations a 38-year-old male doctor inappropriately touched a female patient.
Charge sheets tendered to court allege that Dr Malak aggravatedly sexually touched a female patient in October 2020 “by rubbing her buttocks” and “kissing her neck” at a West Gosford medical centre.
Following inquiries, Dr Malak attended Gosford Police Station on Tuesday, January 12.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexually touching a person without consent.
Dr Malak’s bail was continued until his hearing in September.
