Erina: Two charged over alleged stabbing murder of Shahn Baker

A man and a woman have been charged over the alleged stabbing murder of 42-year-old Shahn Baker at Erina.

A man will face court on Tuesday after police charged two people over the alleged stabbing murder of Shahn Baker at Erina.

About 8.50pm on Thursday, February 3, emergency services were called to Karalta Rd at Erina, following reports a man had been stabbed.

On arrival, police located a 42-year-old man suffering a stab wound.

He was treated by paramedics, however, could not be revived and died at the scene.

The man has since been formally identified as 42-year-old Shahn Baker.

Initial inquiries were conducted by officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District, before the matter was referred to detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad under Strike Force Bleat.

As part of ongoing inquiries, strike force investigators attended a home in Erina shortly before 3pm on Monday, March 28.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested and has since been charged over her alleged role in the murder and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, detectives attended a correctional facility at Silverwater about 9am on Monday, April 11.

A 28-year-old Berkshire Park man was arrested and charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Gosford Local Court Tuesday, April 12.

Investigations under Strike Force Bleat continue.
