ROYALTY of a completely different kind thrilled staff at Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures yesterday when David and Victoria Beckham and their family arrived unexpectedly for a day of adventuring.
According to Glenworth Valley’s Facebook page the “other” British royal family spent the day quad biking and abseiling with three of their four children.
The Beckhams are in Australia for the Invictus Games.
“David, Victoria and 3 of their children enjoyed a day of adventure with an adrenaline-charged abseiling experience followed by a ride through Glenworth Valley’s bush trails and purpose-built circuit on our quad biking adventure. They even assisted our team with feeding some of our new Spring foals,” Glenworth Valley’s post said.
“Our team certainly enjoyed hosting the Beckhams. The family were incredibly down-to-earth, friendly and appreciative and all thoroughly enjoyed their day with us,” he said.
The post said Glenworth were respecting the family’s wish to refrain from posting the photos on social media, but some pictures are starting to emerge, including one posted by local radio station Hit105 on their Instagram account@seacentralcoast.
The picture showed staff member Lauren with David Beckam and then again with Victoria.
In a later interview with Sea FMs Gawndy and Ash Pollard, Lauren spoke of her excitement at meeting the celebrity couple.
“I am seriously still shaking from it,” Lauren said
“I am a massive Spice Girls fan,” she said.
Lauren said she got to take David Beckham and his sons quadbike riding andthey rode “hard”
“They really wanted it low key - they just wanted a day out with the family - they didn’t even book under their names. We just thought it was a normal family,” Lauren said.
