A 42-year-old father planted hidden cameras to secretly film young girls undressing and later shared thousands of shocking child abuse files with other deviants online.
Benjamin Harold Meers faced Wyong Local Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to 10 counts of possessing, transmitting and producing child abuse material.
An agreed set of facts states Australian Federal Police raided Meers’ home at Geoffrey Rd, Chittaway Point, on March 16 following a tip off from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
Officers seized two hard discs, three USB storage devices, a laptop and two Apple iPhones.
“At total of 6328 video files and 66,236 picture files consisting of child abuse material were located by police across the devices,” the facts state.
“The child abuse material predominantly contained images of female children ranging in age from approximately two to 16 years old.
“Some of the child victims in the pictures were subject to oral rape.
“The child victims in the videos were subject to oral, vaginal, and anal rape, had oral sex performed on them by adults or were engaged in sexual acts with canines or other children,” the facts state.
Analysis of his devices found Meers engaged in conversations with seven other pedophiles via the Telegram app between June 2021 and February this year.
The facts state during these conversations Meers transmitted and solicited child abuse material.
Meers was remanded in custody to face Gosford District Court on February 9 to set a sentencing date.
