Central Coast health authorities have issued Covid alerts for The Entertainment Grounds and Sirens nightclub in Terrigal.

Positive cases of Covid have visited The Entertainment Grounds and Sirens nightclub.
Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) has issued a public health alert for the two venues from the night of December 4.
A spokesman from CCLHD said “people infectious with COVID-19 visited both sites”.
Anyone who visited the venue at the listed times is urged to get tested immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.
■ The Entertainment Grounds (4 Racecourse Road, West Gosford)
o Saturday 4 December, 5.30pm to 12am (midnight)
■ Sirens Nightclub (1 Kurrawyba Ave, Terrigal)
o Saturday 4 December, 7pm to 2am
The latest alert comes after a man with Covid has died at Gosford Hospital.
NSW Health confirmed the death of the Lake Macquarie man, who was aged in his 70s, on Thursday.
“He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and had significant underlying health conditions,” NSW Health stated.
“NSW Health expresses its sincere condolences to his loved ones.”
It comes as the Central Coast record six cases of Covid to 8pm on Wednesday night, forming part of the statewide total of 420. There are 42 cases of the Omicron variant in NSW.
The coast was recently put on alert with a case of the Omicron variant. A woman in her 30s, who had visited Doha, visiting various locations across the region in late November.
However no subsequent local cases have emerged since the alert.
The coast has been recording low numbers of Covid over the past few weeks, with restrictions to further ease from December 15. This includes lifting of restrictions on unvaccinated members of the community.
However some popular venues across the region have announced that they will not allow unvaccinated members access after December 15.
Central Coast Leagues Club issued a statement advising the community that only fully vaccinated people will be permitted into the club with the decision to be reassessed on January 31 2022.
“The Club has implemented numerous controls to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission in our venue, however the level of mitigation from excluding those who are not fully vaccinated cannot be achieved through other available controls,” chief executive officer Edward Camilleri said.
“As such, the Club has made the decision to permit entry only to fully vaccinated people beyond Wednesday 15th December 2021.
“This decision was not taken lightly. We are committed to serving our community by providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all, and we believe these measures will enable us to continue to do so.”
Ourimbah-Lisarow RSL has announced the same measures this week.
“This challenging decision was made with the utmost consideration for our local community,” the club’s statement read.
“We are committed to protecting the Ourimbah-Lisarow community as a whole – by extending these measures we are reducing the chances of becoming a potential exposure site, creating a safe space for those who are vulnerable and safeguarding the health of our members, guests, staff, and their families.”
Both clubs have had hundreds of responses across social media, with a mixture of support as well as harsh criticism over the move.
