Central Coast court cases: January 2019
A family run heroin syndicate, seven people charged after drug raids, two accused of selling drugs at a festival and six others charged with drug use at a festival. That’s January in local courts.
Drug charges feature in four cases:
Heroin syndicate
A 64-year-old man is the alleged kingpin of a family heroin syndicate who continued selling drugs on a daily basis despite knowing police were on to him, a court heard.
Drug raids
Seven men and two women have been charged with 290 offences following six simultaneous raids across the Central Coast this month.
Festival drugs
Two men charged with supplying drugs at the Lost Paradise music festival at Glenworth Valley have fronted court for the first time.
Six face court
Six young women have faced court for trying to smuggle drugs into Lost Paradise festival. And you won’t believe how many capsules they claimed were for “personal use”.
