Brendon Gunn sentenced to 8 months jail for sex with 14-year-old girl
She told him she was 20 years old. But even after Brendon Gunn found out her real age he had sex with her two more times landing him in jail.

A 22-year-old man will spend a minimum of eight months in jail for twice having sex with a 14-year-old girl after finding out her real age.
Brendon Gunn, of Woy Woy, was charged with two counts of having sex with a child aged between 14 and 16 years after an investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad last year.
Gosford Local Court heard the girl met him outside Gosford Train Station in October last year, at that time she told him she was 20 years old.
The following week she told her mum she was going to get her nails done but instead met up with Gunn at Gosford and the pair travelled to an address in Woy Woy.
The court heard the pair had sex that night with Gunn under the belief she was 20 years old before her mother reported her missing to police the next morning.

The pair travelled to Sydney on Wednesday when later that day Gunn got a message from the girl’s brother telling him she was actually just 14.
“It was made clear to him the complainant was a 14-year-old girl,” Magistrate Peter Barnett said.
The court heard Gunn made several posts on social media saying “I’m 21 and I would not be seen with a girl that age”.
The magistrate said the evidence was she stayed with him again and they had sex once more.
He said the pair went their separate ways but met up on a train at Tuggerah and were seen cuddling and kissing before going to the Deepwater Plaza Shopping Centre at Woy Woy.
Mr Barnett said the evidence was they spent another night together and again had sex on the morning of Friday, October 18, last year.
Gunn was convicted and sentenced on Friday to 18 months jail with a non-parole period of eight months.
With time already served he will be eligible for release on February 14, 2020.
