Blackwall: Two men charged in relation to service station armed robbery

Two men have been charged in relation to an armed robbery in which a Blackwall service station attendant was allegedly threatened with a rifle by a man wanting cash and cigarettes.

Two men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery on the Central Coast earlier this week.

Police will allege in court that about 4am on Wednesday a 21-year-old man entered a service station on Memorial Ave, Blackwall, and threatened a 44-year-old male attendant with a rifle.

The man demanded cash and cigarettes before he left the scene with another man along Warrigal St.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, a 24-year-old man was arrested at Woy Woy about 10am on Thursday.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with one count of in company rob while armed with dangerous weapon, one court of deal with the proceeds of crime, and three counts of possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and faced Gosford Local Court on Friday, where he was formally bail refused to face the same court Friday on September 11.

Following additional inquiries, police arrested a 21-year-old man at Ettalong Beach about 9.15am on Friday.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with robbery in company whilst armed with a dangerous weapon and possess unregistered firearm in a public place.

He was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court on Saturday.
