A charge of destroying or damaging property and another of stalking or intimidating with intent to cause fear have been withdrawn and dismissed against a female police officer on the Central Coast.
Senior Constable Jessica Lea Brooks was due to face a hearing at Wyong Local Court on Friday to defend the charges but they were withdrawn by the prosecution.
Magistrate Justin Peach then formally dismissed the charges along with an AVO being sought by police on behalf of the alleged victim.
Sen Con Brooks, 34, had pleaded not guilty to intentionally or recklessly destroying a bed frame she shared with her then partner at Bateau Bay or stalking/intimidating him in the lead up to Christmas 2022.
The charges came after officers attached to Northern Region command commenced an investigation in February of last year into the alleged historical domestic violence offences.
Police issued Sen Con Brooks with a future court attendance on Monday, August 12, 2024, and she appeared in court the following month where she pleaded not guilty.
The allegations were set down for a defended hearing on Friday, which was vacated when the charges were dismissed.
