Man dies in house fire in Captains Flat
A man, believed to be in his 60s, is dead after a house fire in Captains Flat.

A man is dead after a tragic house fire in the state’s south.
NSW Police said a man, believed to be in his 60s, was pulled from a burning house in Captains Flat, south of Queanbeyan and Googong.
Police were called to the corner of Willow Rd and Wattle Ave about 12.30pm on Monday and found the house “well alight”.
Rural Fire Service pulled a male resident from the burning house, however he died at the scene.
Police say the man is yet to be identified, but he is believed to be in his 60s and is believed to be the occupant of the house.
Officers from the Monaro Police district have established a crime scene and will investigate the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
