The police statement of facts allege Mr Beazley dragged his partner while in a headlock and covered her mouth and then allegedly attempted to smother her using a pillow for 40 seconds during an incident in September 2021.

Court documents also allege at 2.50pm on January 3, police attended Mr Beazley’s house and saw a Green Holden Commodore ute drive into the street and then abruptly stopping, reversing and driving away.

Police allegedly followed the car and activated sirens after he attempted to leave the car, and then rushed back inside the vehicle.

Beazley was subsequently arrested for allegedly failing to stop for police and for driving while unregistered as his registration expired on December 24.

Under bail conditions Mr Beazley is required to live at a residence in Batemans Bay, NSW, he cannot drink alcohol, or be in contact with the complainant.

He will return to court on August 5.
