A man who was found unconscious at the Langtrees Bar and Brothel at Mitchell in February is facing drugs and weapons charges.
Karabar NSW man David Celeski, 39, is charged with possessing ammunition, possessing an unauthorised firearm, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, possessing a prohibited substance, two counts of trafficking a controlled drug other than cannabis and two counts of possessing a drug of dependence.
Mr Celeski, who is remanded in custody, did not appear during a brief mention at the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday and has not entered any pleas.
His lawyer applied for a three-week adjournment which was granted by Magistrate Louise Taylor.
Bail was not applied for and was formally refused by Ms Taylor.
According to the statement of facts tendered to the court, an ambulance was called to Langtrees on February 5 at 9.16am after Mr Celeski was found unconscious in one of the rooms.
Police allege after an ambulance attended to the man they searched his personal belongings to find identification.
While searching his belongings the paramedics allegedly discovered a large sum of cash, a firearm and a bag suspected to contain drugs.
Police were called to the brothel where they arrested the unconscious man and seized a green Woolworths shopping bag and a black and blue Puma bag.
Mr Celeski was then taken to Calvary Hospital in Bruce under police guard.
During a search of the bags police found a loaded silver .45 caliber Automatic Colt Pistol, $12,271.95 in cash and a zip lock bag with 44 grams of white powder believed to be cocaine.
The court heard that after he was transported to Calvary Hospital, medical staff gave police additional items found on the unconscious man.
This included a zip lock bag with 29g of a crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine, a zip lock bag containing 2g of white powder and a vanilla extract bottle with 5mm of a liquid suspected to be GHB.
During an examination of Mr Celeski’s phone, police allegedly found a drug ledger note on a notes app which included references to names and grams of powder.
The court document also states Mr Celeski was granted an 18-month good behaviour order on September 29, 2020, for unrelated charges which is due to expire on March 29 this year.
Mr Celeski will reappear at the ACT Magistrates Court on March 31.
