A Canberra teacher watched grubby hardcore porn on his work computer but is still teaching kids.

Senior cop's warning to pedophiles: "We are coming for you"

A Canberra schoolteacher kept his job despite accessing an aggressive, hardcore pornographic website on a school laptop then lying about it to investigators, internal documents show.

Documents, obtained under freedom of information laws, detail the grubby nature of the material the teacher accessed.

An investigation into the teacher’s pornography use reveals he accessed an “inappropriate website” using a laptop “issued to the teacher” and owned by his school.

News Corp as spent more than a year attempting to access documents related to the case, and can now reveal the teacher was busted accessing a hardcore role-playing website www.cumshots.com.

A description of the website contained in an internal report is too graphic to publish.

The teacher was issued with confidentiality notice, meaning parents have been kept in the dark about his identity, but documents reveal he continued to work at a Canberra school receiving a formal warning.

When the teacher accessed the site in 2020, it alerted his school’s IT department, despite him using Google “incognito mode”.

A forensic check of the teacher’s computer could not determine how long he was on the site, but confirmed he had accessed it.

The teacher, whose name has been redacted from the documents released by the directorate, told investigators he had been using his work computer to browse a legitimate online dating website and that the computer must have “inadvertently recorded the incorrect address”.

He said he was browsing the dating website in “incognito mode” so children would not be able to see his browser history when he later used his laptop in class.

But a workplace investigation rejected his account as a lie, and found he was “seeking to ensure the browsing history of accessing the website www.cumshots.com was not stored”.

Investigators also rejected the teacher’s attempts to pin his porn use on a computer glitch, saying it was inconsistent with him saying, in an interview, that he “stopped accessing this site when he realised it was on a school computer and that he should use his own personal device if he intends to access such websites”.

A report by the teacher’s employer said he was required to “undertake duties in a professional, competent and conscientious manner and the accessing of a dating website or the website www.cumshots.com is not undertaking duties in this manner”.

“It is not professional to use a school laptop to access this material, whether at or outside school,” the documents said.
