The much-anticipated rape trial of Bruce Lehrmann, the man accused of raping Brittany Higgins, will begin on June 27.
Mr Lehrmann has pleaded not guilty.
In a very brief pre-trial mention in the ACT Supreme Court, Chief Justice Lucy McCallum set the new date for the trial which is expected to run for four to six weeks.
Mr Lehrmann’s new barrister, Steven Whybrow, made an appearance at the pre-trial mention.
The trial was originally set to start on June 6 but was postponed after the accused’s previous barrister Warwick Korn stepped down from the case.
Canberra law firm Kamy Saeedi Law announced last week that they would take on the case.
Previously lawyers for Mr Lehrmann applied for a permanent stay, claiming the high profile nature of the case would make it impossible to conduct a fair trial.
This application was ultimately rejected by Justice McCallum.
