Andrew Ralston: Queanbeyan man accused of sexually assaulting two children
A registered sex offender is accused of sneaking into a suburban backyard and allegedly sexually assaulting two children.

A Queanbeyan man has been accused of sneaking into a backyard and sexually assaulting a child.
Andrew Ralston is behind bars on remand after he was charged with a raft of offences relating to allegations he assaulted two children, one aged 14-year-old and another aged just seven.
Court documents state police will allege mr Ralston performed a sexual act with the 14-year-old twice between December 2018 and February 2021.
Mr Ralston has been charged with two counts of intentionally doing a sex act with a child between 10 and 16 in relation to these incidents and is yet to enter pleas.
Mr Ralston is further charged with entering land to commit an indictable offence, intentionally carrying out a sexual act with a child aged under 10, intentionally sexually touching a child, common assault, attempting to sexually touch a child and failing to comply with reporting obligations over allegations he broke into a Queanbeyan backyard and sexually abused a seven-year-old girl.
He has pleaded not guilty to all of these charges.
The Karabar man, 52, has further pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to comply with his reporting obligations as a registered child sex offender.
His matter was briefly mentioned at Queanbeyan Local Court on November 2 and he will apply for bail on November 15 at the same court.
